Our current setup
Statistics are optional and remain off until you consent. “Necessary only” and “Allow statistics” are equally visible. Continuing to browse is not consent. Advertising tracking is off. These choices apply to every visitor, regardless of country.
Your saved articles
“Save article” uses localStorage, a browser store distinct from cookies. The softlux-notebook-v1 key holds up to 100 article identifiers, with no email, name or advertising identifier. It belongs to softluxnotes.com, changes when you save or remove an article, and is read to display your list. It remains until you or your browser delete it. It is not sent to our servers.
Choices and statistical identifiers
softlux-consent-v1 stores the version, choice and date for 180 days to honour your preference. Only after acceptance, softlux-visitor-v1 stores a random identifier for 60 days without extending its expiry. softlux-session-v1 groups navigation until 30 minutes of inactivity and records the acquisition channel and landing page. These localStorage entries belong to our domain. Identifiers accompany consented events to our statistics endpoint; they contain no name or email address.
Managing your list
Remove individual articles from your saved list or use the button below to clear all of them. This does not affect other websites. Clearing softluxnotes.com data in your browser settings also removes saved articles from that device.
Cloudflare security cookies
Our application sets no cookies of its own. If security checks are active, Cloudflare may use technically necessary cookies such as cf_clearance to remember a passed challenge or __cf_bm for bot protection. These are not advertising cookies. Their use and lifetime depend on the security configuration; Cloudflare cookies documents the individual cookies. We do not claim every ordinary visit receives them.
Changing your choice
Open “Privacy choices” in the footer at any time to allow or decline statistics. Declining does not restrict reading. Withdrawal deletes local statistical identifiers; your saved articles remain separate. Clearing all site data in your browser also removes your choice and saved articles.
Saved articles
Use the bookmark beside an article to keep it here. Saved articles stay in this browser. We do not create an account or receive your list.
