Visiting the website
You can read the magazine without registering. Cloudflare processes the technical information needed to deliver a page, including your IP address, requested URL, time and information sent by your browser. This supports content delivery, error diagnosis and protection against abuse.
Where GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website under Article 6(1)(f). We limit technical data to what is necessary and do not use it to create advertising profiles.
Search, calculator and saved articles
Search terms are matched in your browser against an article index downloaded from our site. The calculator also runs in your browser: values entered in its interface are not sent to our server.
Saving an article stores only its article identifier in this browser, without an account or transmission to SoftLuxNotes. Remove individual articles from your list or clear it under Cookies and preferences. Storage supports the saving feature you requested.
Newsletter and external services
We do not take payments or provide reader accounts or comments. We load no advertising pixels, visitor analytics or social embeds. Photos, icons and fonts come from our own domain. External websites receive a request when you open their links, and their own privacy notices apply.
When you contact us
We use your email address, message and attachments to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence; requests concerning your data rights are handled to meet legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Please send only necessary information. We keep ordinary correspondence as needed to handle it, normally for up to 24 months after the last contact. Legal requirements or the protection of legal claims may require a different retention period.
Providers and international processing
We use Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security and email forwarding. Messages to our addresses are forwarded to our business Google Workspace mailbox, accessible only to authorised people. These services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Transfers are governed by our provider agreements and, where required, standard contractual clauses or applicable adequacy decisions. Contact privacy@softluxnotes.com for information about safeguards. See the Cloudflare DPA and Google Workspace data processing terms.
Retention
Saved article identifiers remain in this browser until you or the browser delete the site data. They are not stored on our servers.
Cloudflare documents a maximum Workers log retention of seven days, or three days on its Free plan. The application has no separate log archive. Security data independently processed by Cloudflare follows the purposes and retention criteria in its privacy notice. Application code does not log request bodies or calculator values.
Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion and restriction, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Portability and withdrawal of consent apply where their conditions are met. Requests ordinarily require a response within one month, subject to lawful extensions. Reading the site or exercising rights does not require registration.
Write to privacy@softluxnotes.com or our postal address to exercise your rights. You may complain to the Italian data protection authority or another competent regulator, including an EU/EEA supervisory authority, the UK ICO or Switzerland’s FDPIC.
Readers outside the EU
We do not sell personal information or share it for behavioural advertising. We do not make automated decisions with legal effects on readers. This applies to everyone, including browsers sending Global Privacy Control. You may exercise rights under the laws applicable in your country without discrimination.
Children and future changes
The magazine is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact privacy@softluxnotes.com. We update this notice when our services or processing change; the date above identifies the current version.
