How we work
What you can expect from a SoftLuxNotes article.
Decisions before departure
Which room should you book? Is the higher rate worth it? How do you get to the restaurant? We start with questions that affect a trip and give them enough detail to be useful.
Stays and research
Stay Notes and personal experiences in Table Notes come from documented visits. Research articles are labelled. A reservation alone does not become a hotel review: we only describe experiences we can support.
The things that disappoint
Inattentive service, a noisy room or awkward access can change a decision. Documented shortcomings belong in a review alongside the things that work. We distinguish an isolated incident from a recurring problem.
Costs you can follow
The price you pay remains separate from the value you place on breakfast, credits and other benefits. An upgrade subject to availability is not guaranteed money saved. Comparisons use equivalent dates, guests and room categories.
Sources and editorial tools
Articles include sources and verification dates. We also use AI tools to organise research and prepare drafts and translations. They are not presented as travellers or eyewitnesses, and generated photographs do not document real hotels. Substantive corrections should remain traceable.
Commercial relationships
Hosted visits, partnerships and paid links must be disclosed where they appear. Read more in our commercial disclosure.
