Check the phone first

Check the exact model, purchase market and carrier lock: a recent smartphone is not automatically compatible. Also check any Egypt package from your Italian carrier. A travel eSIM is an option to compare, not an absolute necessity. Arrange Wi-Fi for installation and keep instructions outside any app that may require internet.

A concrete price comparison

The checked Saily page displays 1 GB for seven days at EUR7.99, 5 GB for 30 days at EUR17.99 and 10 GB for 30 days at EUR30.49. Recheck these displayed prices before paying. For a ten-day trip, seven-day validity does not cover the whole stay even with data remaining: compare duration and allowance together.

Separate installation from arrival

Install the Saily profile through the app, select it for data and enable roaming on that line for use in Egypt. The plan starts on connection to its destination network; a 180-day activation deadline also applies. Disable home-line data roaming and automatic data switching, checking main-SIM call charges separately.

Coverage follows the itinerary

Do not infer 20 Mbps, a particular network or continuous desert reception merely from an “Egypt” label. Ask the provider which networks are permitted and check individual stops. Download maps, addresses and confirmations before excursions. More data cannot fix a coverage gap; work also needs a fallback agreed with your accommodation.

If it will not connect

Check profile activation, selected data line, required roaming, validity and balance in that order. Restart; use APN settings and manual network selection only as instructed, rather than choosing Orange or Vodafone blindly. Contact support before deleting the profile. Save the order number and error screenshots to support your request without assuming an automatic refund.
