Three separate limits

For Bangkok, islands and transfers, unlimited does not answer every question. Separate total data, speed after a threshold and shareable allowance. A plan suited to phone maps and messages may not support laptop needs. Before buying, describe a heavy-use day and check how the contract treats that consumption.

Saily: a stated threshold and price

Saily displays its 15-day unlimited plan at EUR34.49: five GB daily without a plan speed cap, then up to 1 Mbps. Under the terms, the daily threshold resets at local midnight. Do not pool fifteen daily allowances into one freely usable total: a large upload on one day may trigger reduced speed.

Holafly: hotspot is separate

Holafly Thailand lists one GB daily hotspot sharing, True/DTAC networks and possible fair-use reductions. Its public table shows USD27.50 for seven days and USD50.50 for 15 days; those are dollars, not euros. Unlimited phone data does not mean unlimited laptop tethering. This data product has no local number for conventional calls and SMS.

When a fixed allowance is enough

Saily also lists 10 GB for 30 days at EUR9.99 and 20 GB at EUR17.99. Compare these with expected usage rather than assuming they suffice for everyone. Downloading maps beforehand and postponing video backups can reduce demand. Check checkout totals and top-ups without treating promotional credits as cash.

Prepare for arrival

Check compatibility and unlocking for the exact model. Install while connected and follow activation-date instructions. Select the travel eSIM for data and enable its required roaming; disable Italian data roaming unless using a dedicated package. Keep the transfer address offline. No plan guarantees identical speed in cities, islands and mountains.
