Discover Airlines has announced a nonstop link between Genoa (GOA) and Frankfurt (FRA) from 28 March 2027, twice a week. Its Italy programme released on 7 September specifies Saturday and Sunday.

For a short break, those days are the key detail: choose the flights and the length of your stay together. This is the announced 2027 programme, not a search confirming available seats for your own dates.

The announced timetable

Genoa Airport publishes the following schedule for 28 March–30 October 2027:

Frankfurt → Genoa, 4Y810: Saturday 11:00–12:15; Sunday 11:40–12:55.
Genoa → Frankfurt, 4Y811: Saturday 13:00–14:25; Sunday 13:40–15:05.

These are planned times to recheck when booking. To compare two stays, read the arrival time on the outbound flight alongside the departure time on the return.

One night: how much time remains?

Using that timetable for a hypothetical Saturday-to-Sunday stay, a visitor to Genoa would have 25 hours and 25 minutes between landing and the return departure. In the opposite direction, the interval in Frankfurt would be 21 hours and 15 minutes. This is a calculation from announced flight times, not uninterrupted time to spend in the city.

Subtract transfers and the time needed at the airport from both figures. Before committing to a restaurant or activity, allow realistically for the journey from your hotel to the airport and leave room for delays.

Let the flight days shape the stay

In a sample week with both departures operating, Saturday to Sunday allows one night; Sunday to the following Saturday allows six. Returning on the same weekday a week later gives seven nights, while Saturday to the following Sunday gives eight. These are arithmetic combinations, subject to the actual calendar offered for sale.

For two or three nights, check a different return, a connecting service or another way of travelling. I would not book the hotel first on the assumption that a nonstop runs every day. The number of nights changes both the budget and the kind of trip you are planning.

Compare the complete journey

Start by searching both directions: choose the outbound and return flights, check the operating airline, and note the final price, baggage and fare conditions. Add accommodation and transfers next. If connecting onwards, compare the whole itinerary, including the time between flight segments.
