Per stay, not per night

Teaching example: Three consecutive nights at a higher-tier property earn one 3,000-point bonus, not 9,000. One eligible higher-tier stay plus two separate ordinary-tier stays produces 3,000 + 1,000 + 1,000 = 5,000 promotional points. Base points and any elite bonuses are excluded from this calculation. A new booking number is not enough

Hilton treats consecutive nights at the same hotel as one stay, even if you check out and check back in. The New Year travel trap

The stay’s completion date matters: checkout must be no later than 31 December 2026. The FAQ excludes the bonus for later departures even if some nights fall within the promotion period. When using the offer makes sense

The sensible approach is to add the bonus to a trip you already plan to take. Do not treat points as an immediate discount: compare cash hotel costs including taxes, breakfast and cancellation on like-for-like terms. A more expensive hotel does not become better value simply by awarding more points. Avoid adding nights or transfers just to chase the bonus; calculate the real additional cost first. Posting and the final check

Hilton says to allow 6–8 weeks after the stay for posting; bonus points do not count toward elite qualification.
