Earn the right currency
KrisFlyer enables Singapore Airlines awards, but Italy’s transfer route has local terms. Membership Rewards converts at 3:2, not 1:1: 150,000 points becomes 100,000 miles. Check availability, account ownership and processing time before transferring. A transferred balance is neither a ticket nor a guaranteed suite.
Europe–Singapore: notice “one-way”
The current Saver chart between Singapore, Zone 1, and Europe, Zone 11, lists 44,000 Economy, 74,500 Premium Economy, 108,500 Business and 148,000 First/Suites miles one-way. A return needs twice that amount: 217,000 in Business, plus taxes and charges. The cabin and seats must exist on the chosen flight; the chart does not establish dated availability.
Three options, not two
Saver uses fewer miles with limited availability; Advantage costs more and offers a broader choice. Access adds demand-based mileage pricing for available seats, shown during booking; the regular calculator does not apply. An Access quote is not evidence that a Saver award has appeared, even in the same cabin.
Expiry follows the miles
For Basic, Elite Silver and Elite Gold, ordinary expiry is three years at the end of the corresponding crediting month, using Singapore time. This is not an inactivity clock reset by any small transaction. PPS Club has an exception while status is retained. Avoid speculative transfers years before having a trip in mind.
Compare the whole itinerary
For travel beyond Singapore, search the complete route instead of automatically adding two chart figures. Check each sector’s cabin and remaining cash payment. Value comes from the ticket you would really replace; a more expensive cabin does not create savings by itself. Confirm the award before buying non-refundable associated services.
