Start with what you paid

Ultra’s currently advertised monthly price in Italy is EUR 55; twelve payments total EUR 660. For annual billing or an older contract, use the price actually charged. Begin the account with real debits, not a historical fee selected to improve the outcome. Add directly related plan costs and keep normal travel expenses separate.

Three columns for benefits

Record the service used, a realistic alternative cost and spending genuinely avoided. A lounge visit is not necessarily worth its entrance price if you would otherwise buy only a coffee. A digital subscription you already paid for can replace spending if the included version actually substitutes for it. Do not value unused services or double-count cover and access already provided elsewhere.

120,000 points are a scenario, not income

Treat 120,000 RevPoints as a hypothetical balance, not a documented personal result. Ultra normally earns one point per eligible euro; without bonuses or points purchases, that would arithmetically represent EUR 120,000 of eligible spending. Explain a real balance by reconciling earning, promotions, Spare Change and redemptions. The app total alone does not reveal its acquisition cost.

There is no fixed euro exchange rate

RevPoints are not refundable cash. Value a redemption against a concrete alternative, separating taxes and other cash amounts. Before converting to miles, check the partner ratio and award; the transfer is irreversible. A ticket sold for EUR 2,500 does not represent EUR 2,500 earned when the alternative you would buy costs far less.

Decide about the next year

Finally, compare plan costs with documented avoided spending, leaving unused points and comfort on separate lines. Renewal should reflect next year’s calendar: a busy travel year does not guarantee the same usefulness afterwards. Check the app’s price, duration and change terms before switching. Ask whether you would pay again for services you expect to use, rather than whether you have “beaten” the fee.
