Gold after enrolment

Italian personal Platinum includes enrolment in Hilton Honors Gold. Activate the benefit using your Hilton number; first name, surname and email must match across accounts. This is not automatic Diamond access. For overseas Hilton-branded cards, do not apply another market’s advertised eligibility, spending thresholds or conditions to Italy.

The stay determines the benefit

Gold offers an 80% bonus on eligible base points. Breakfast depends on brand and country: outside the US it applies at participating brands; in the US the programme’s food-and-beverage credit rules apply. Upgrades depend on availability. A suite, lounge access or full breakfast at every hotel is not guaranteed.

The fee needs a personal calculation

Personal Platinum ordinarily costs EUR70 monthly, or EUR840 over twelve months. List planned stays and expenses you would actually avoid. If you would have booked a breakfast-inclusive rate, do not count that saving again. An unguaranteed upgrade contributes zero to a budget of guaranteed benefits; a suite’s list price is not money recovered.

Transferred points and status are separate

Italian MR transfers to Hilton at 1:1, with an estimated 3–20 business days. Increasing redeemable points does not meet ordinary status thresholds. In 2026 Gold requires 25 nights, 15 stays or USD6,000 eligible spending; Diamond requires 50 nights, 25 stays or USD11,500. Card-based status is a separate benefit.

Before applying or cancelling

Consider the status you would earn from planned stays: existing status does not gain a second value because the card also offers it. Before cancelling Platinum, check continuity; Amex reserves the right to end the benefit when card membership ends. Keep activation confirmation and check your Hilton account before relying on status benefits in a booking.
