Miles & More cards in Italy: distinguish three products

Choose the product, not just the logo

Italian spending can earn Miles & More miles through different cards. Advanzia and UniCredit offer personal and business products with distinct fees, requirements and earning rates. Compare a card you can actually obtain, including any required account. A Business card does not suit a private user merely because it shows a higher earning rate.

Advanzia Gold: programme fee

The Miles & More page lists EUR72 annually in EUR6 instalments, with the first six months free. Eligible purchases earn one mile per EUR2. The current detailed welcome offer is 6,000 miles with a first purchase within three months. If a summary says “free card”, check the separate programme fee. Do not repeat a welcome bonus in every year’s forecast.

Flexia Gold: include the banking relationship

UniCredit Flexia Gold Miles & More is for UniCredit account holders: EUR100 annual fee, EUR10 issuance and 2,000 welcome miles on activation. Purchases earn one mile per EUR2, excluding cash withdrawals. Include account costs if you need a banking relationship specifically for the card. Instalment interest requires a separate calculation from point value.

Business: two promotional windows

UniCredit Business costs EUR120 annually and earns one mile per euro, excluding withdrawals. The first year is free for subscriptions from 24 November 2025 to 30 November 2026. The offer from 24 July to 30 November 2026 combines 3,000 activation miles with another 3,000 tied to linking the loyalty programme. Both conditions matter; 6,000 is not an unconditional credit.

Do not plan unsupported transfer routes

The Italian Membership Rewards catalogue has no direct Miles & More transfer. Marriott’s current airline-partner list also does not support the previously described Bonvoy route. Do not use it in an Amex conversion example. Check mileage expiry, excluded spending and post-promotion fees for each card. Base the comparison on spending already planned.
