Hilton Honors and Explora Journeys: points at sea

An operating partnership

The verified cruise partnership for Hilton Honors is Explora Journeys, with earning and redemption operating since July 2026. The launch announcement also advertises a 5% member fare discount through Hilton. Still compare the final quote against alternatives for the same suite and itinerary: a discount percentage alone does not establish the lowest overall price.

The booking channel matters

Eligible reservations must use the dedicated Hilton page or the designated Explora Experience Centre phone line. The regular Explora website, travel agencies and OTAs do not provide this Hilton benefits package. The member must match the lead guest, and membership cannot be added retrospectively to an existing reservation. Some journeys, including Monaco Grand Prix packages, are excluded.

Which spending earns points

Base earning is 10 points per US dollar of eligible journey fare. Exclude taxes, port charges, flights, insurance, transfers and onboard extras from the calculation. Elite bonuses depend on status at embarkation: 20% Silver, 80% Gold, 100% Diamond and 120% Diamond Reserve. Points post after the completed and fully paid journey, with an indicated wait of 6–8 weeks.

Redemption has its own rules

Points can be redeemed for eligible reservations, but this verification establishes neither a universal nightly points rate nor a fixed cash-credit conversion. Obtain a quote for the particular sailing. Fifth-night-free, Free Night Rewards, Executive Lounge access and Confirmable Upgrade Rewards do not apply. Cancellation penalties can reduce returned points, so read the policy before confirming.

Onboard credits are not cash

Diamond and Diamond Reserve receive, subject to the terms, 100 Journey Experience Credit for Ocean Wellness and 100 for Destination Experiences per eligible journey. Currency depends on the itinerary. These credits have separate uses, cannot be withdrawn as cash and expire at 6pm on the final evening. Count only spending you would otherwise incur, without adding the nominal credit to savings already counted.
