The answer: count your total eligible nights

Hyatt advertises 3,000 bonus points for every three eligible nights, up to 36,000 points, for 29 September–15 December 2026. This is an announced promotion checked on 21 October, not a hotel rate or availability we have found. Register before doing the calculation and check that your nights meet the conditions. Register first, then count the nights

You must be a World of Hyatt member in good standing at both registration and stay. Promotion registration must precede the nights counted; registration closes on 15 December 2026 at 11:59 p.m. US Central Time. Three cumulative nights, not necessarily consecutive

The FAQ confirms that nights accumulate. Nights on an Eligible Rate or using a Free Night Award can qualify after registration and within the promotion period. Teaching example: one eligible night plus another two completes a block; they need not become one stay. Three nights earn 3,000 bonus points, five still earn 3,000, and six earn 6,000. The 36,000-point cap equals twelve blocks, or 36 eligible nights. Do not divide the bonus per night as though partial blocks were automatically awarded. A brand name on the building is not enough

The property must participate in World of Hyatt both at booking and stay. Participating Mr & Mrs Smith hotels, The Venetian Resort and Homes & Hideaways require booking through Hyatt channels. Only the room occupied by the member counts; paying for additional rooms does not multiply personal nights. 15 June 2027 does not extend the eligible-night period

If a stay includes eligible nights in the promotion period but ends afterwards, the terms require completion by 15 June 2027. Only eligible nights after registration and within 29 September–15 December 2026 still count. That later deadline concerns completion of that stay; it does not open additional months of promotional nights. Do not automatically assign the bonus to spring trips. Membership number and checks after checkout

Provide your membership number at booking or, where available, on property before checkout. The three property groups above require it at booking. Hyatt asks you to allow two to three weeks after checkout for credit. Keep a night-by-night record and account activity. When the bonus changes the decision

Start with the journey you would have taken anyway. If you have five eligible nights, it makes sense to check a sixth night already planned elsewhere; that does not make every additional expense worthwhile. Compare the rate difference, transport, cancellation restrictions and the actual use you have for points. Bonus points are not a guaranteed cash refund. Do not count the benefit before checking eligibility or add it twice alongside other benefits.
