Why there is no universal figure

You cannot infer a Radisson night’s cost from the hotel brand alone. The redemption model lets you choose points alongside cash and requires a specific quote. Claims such as “15,000 for the base category” or “75,000 for every Collection hotel” are not a current official chart. Room, date, occupancy and conditions must match the search you are evaluating.

Read the quote in three steps

First note the full cash price for the room you want. Then select points and record both the balance consumed and the remaining payment. Finally check cancellation, breakfast and compulsory extras. Keep the category unchanged: a flexible rate and a non-refundable rate are not equivalent comparisons. Retaining the details avoids relying on memory.

A calculation example, not a room quote

Suppose a room costs EUR180 and an identical alternative costs EUR130 plus 25,000 points. You avoid EUR50: 50 divided by 25,000 equals EUR0.002, or 0.20 euro cents per point. This is arithmetic, not verified availability. Calculate an all-points option separately rather than assuming full coverage always delivers better value.

Practical limits before confirming

The FAQ gives an online or app redemption limit of USD600 per night, referring higher amounts to the hotel desk at checkout. This does not mean EUR600. Changing the points amount after confirmation requires cancellation and rebooking according to the FAQ, so check penalties and availability first. A higher status also does not automatically confirm a suite.

If your points come from American Express

The Italian catalogue converts 2 MR into 5 Radisson points: 25,000 points therefore require 10,000 MR. In the EUR50 saving example, that would yield EUR0.005 per MR. Consider alternative uses and the indicated 3–20 business day transfer time. The quote may change while you wait; a large-looking points total alone is no reason to transfer.
