For eligible online applications, Italian Carta di Credito Oro waives the first-year fee; from year two it costs EUR20 monthly, or EUR240 annually. The waiver has exclusions linked to cards currently or previously held during the preceding twelve months. Check your circumstances in the application terms. Do not confuse this product with older Gold versions or Business cards.

The bonus is points

The public offer from 8 September to 6 October 2026 awards 31,250 MR after EUR4,000 eligible spending in the first six months. It requires no current MR card and none held during the previous twelve months, with posting within eight weeks of meeting the threshold. Under Shop with Points conditions, the bonus can reduce the balance by EUR125. It is neither automatic EUR140 cashback nor a bank payment.

The calculation after year one

At one MR per eligible euro and a Shop value of EUR0.004 each, hypothetical annual spending of EUR15,000 produces roughly EUR60 off the balance before rounding and reversals. That does not cover the EUR240 fee. Covering that fee through this discount alone would require roughly EUR60,000 eligible spending: a calculation, not encouragement to spend more.

Count benefits you would use

After activation, the card includes two annual Priority Pass entries: use both yourself or one for you and one for a guest on the same visit. The EUR50 travel voucher at renewal lasts twelve months and is used in one transaction through Amex Travel. Do not count full face value if a benefit requires unplanned purchases. Check the product’s insurance policy, limits and exclusions.

Full payment and instalments differ

Full statement payment carries no interest; instalments do, under the contract. Read total costs, product information and personal terms before applying. Compare the card with the alternative you would actually use and avoid counting the introductory bonus, later discounts and points twice. Value depends on benefits used and costs incurred, not card colour.
