Eligible programmes

Finnair lists British Airways Club, Iberia Plus, AerClub and Vueling Club as programmes you can link. Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Loganair Loyalty cannot currently be linked directly to Finnair Plus.

Before linking your accounts

You must be at least 18 and have a Finnair Plus account that is at least 30 days old. Your first name, surname and email must match, and both accounts need two-factor authentication. Start from Balance and transactions on Finnair and complete the first transfer on avios.com.

What reaches the other account

Transfers between your linked accounts are free and use a 1:1 ratio. The Avios usually arrive almost immediately. The transfer does not extend the validity of Avios held in Finnair Plus.

Both directions count for Basic

Each transaction can move 1 to 999,999 Avios. Basic has a combined cap of 1,000,000 over 12 months across all linked programmes and both directions. That 12-month cap does not apply to other Finnair Plus tiers.

A worked example

Move 40,000 Avios from Finnair to Iberia and then 10,000 back, and the net amount moved to Iberia is 30,000. The Basic cap counts 50,000 Avios of transfers. Before moving a balance, compare the total Avios, cash portion and change or refund terms with the programme issuing the award. This example explains the transfer count and gives no award-seat availability.
