Included does not mean cost-free overall

Revolut Italy lists 3 GB of global data monthly as an Ultra benefit. Its published monthly fee is €55: twelve monthly payments total €660, which is not an annual-billing quote. If you already have the plan for other reasons, the allowance may avoid an extra purchase. If you are considering Ultra solely for travel internet, compare the whole fee with a separate eSIM. A free 1 GB Metal allowance is not confirmed by the sources reviewed.

Check countries and functions in-app

Global does not mean every country. Open RevPoints, eSIM and the selected plan to check included destinations and available data. Travel data plans are provided through partner 1Global and contain data only, without cellular calls or texts. Messaging apps can use the connection, but that does not turn the product into a local phone number. Before departure, also check the exact device’s eSIM compatibility and data-line settings.

When validity starts

For purchased packages, Revolut’s guide starts validity at purchase or, for the first purchase, when the eSIM is ready to install. Do not assume the clock always starts on arrival. Check the actual package expiry and Ultra allowance renewal in-app. Keep instructions available offline and test the connection before depending on it for a transfer. No guaranteed setup times or speeds are established here.

Renewal can charge money

Automatic renewal is optional and triggers when data runs out. A package that expires with unused data does not automatically renew through this feature. The stated limits are four renewals or 90 days. Payment comes from the local-currency balance even if the initial package was bought with RevPoints. Check the setting before use: “prepaid” does not necessarily rule out further automatic purchases.
